The 2009 CSFTA Winter League Showdown took place on March 22nd at Carsibrooke Club on the Isle of Wight.

Sadly we had a few "no shows" as usual but thanks to some excellent juggling by Andy Winch, everyone was able to shoot at least two rounds and all the byes in the Plate didn't ruin the day, I actually managed to lose four times before I had to put my gun away !!

James Woodhead won the Showdown again - getting a bit boring now - edging out Mick Woodhead in the final, while Mick Kelly won the Plate beating Steve Privett in their final. Commiserations must go to Keith Pitman who made the effort to attend, only to find that the electrickery on his Daystate didn't want to come out to play. Unlucky Keith.

The three courses set out by the Carisbrooke boys were excellent, proving that you don't have to stick all the targets way, way out to make things trickey. The varied terrain and changing directions had people scratching their heads all day, well done guys.
